GeoSpy Premium: Weekly or Yearly Subscription

· 11 min read

Short answer

GeoSpy Premium is the subscription that unlocks photo location analysis on geospys.com. Weekly costs 7.99 US dollars a week and Yearly 29.99 US dollars a year; buyers in Türkiye pay ₺389 or ₺1,460. Both include unlimited analyses and Street View games under fair use, plus the full analysis detail, and renew automatically until cancelled.

Photo location analysis on geospys.com comes with GeoSpy Premium, a subscription with two plans: Weekly and Yearly. Both give exactly the same access. They differ only in how often you pay, and both renew automatically until you cancel, which you can do at any time.

This guide covers what the subscription includes, what each plan costs in dollars and in lira, how paying, renewal and cancellation work, and what changed for people who bought Lifetime. It is just as plain about who should not subscribe. Everything here applies to the subscription sold on geospys.com; products with similar names elsewhere have their own terms and prices.

What is GeoSpy Premium?

The paid subscription on geospys.com. It gives the Google account you subscribe with unlimited photo location analysis on the website under fair use, the full analysis detail, and Street View games without the daily limit. It comes as Weekly or Yearly and renews until you cancel.

Each analysis estimates the city and country where a photo was taken from what is visible in the frame: architecture, vegetation, signage, road markings and light. If the file still carries GPS coordinates in its EXIF data, those are read as well. Uploaded photos are not stored.

A subscription changes how much you can use the analyser, not what a single analysis can tell you. Every estimate is still a city and a country, never a street address. How the model reads a photo explains why that ceiling exists.

What does the subscription include?

Unlimited photo location analysis on geospys.com under fair use (up to 20 analyses every five hours), the full analysis detail, and Street View games without the daily limit (fair use: up to 20 games a day). Weekly and Yearly include exactly the same things.

  • Unlimited photo location analysis. There is no daily, monthly or total allowance. Fair use caps one account at 20 analyses in any five hours, to stop automated abuse.
  • The full analysis detail for every photo: the signals behind the estimate, not only the answer.
  • Street View games without the daily limit. Fair use allows up to 20 games a day; free players get one game a day.
  • One account, any browser. Everything is tied to the Google account you subscribe with, so it works wherever you sign in to geospys.com with that account.

That is the whole subscription. Weekly and Yearly unlock the same features, so there is no higher tier to upgrade to later.

What the free tier and the two GeoSpy Premium plans include on geospys.com

In short, the free tier is the daily game. Photo analysis on the website starts with a subscription.

How much does GeoSpy Premium cost?

Weekly is 7.99 US dollars a week and Yearly is 29.99 US dollars a year. Buyers in Türkiye are charged in Turkish lira instead: ₺389 a week or ₺1,460 a year. Everyone else is charged in US dollars, and the other currency can be chosen on the payment page.

The lira prices are the dollar prices at the central bank’s selling rate of 17 September 2026, 1 USD = 48.6749 TRY, rounded up to a whole lira. For Weekly that is 7.99 × 48.6749 = ₺388.91, charged as ₺389. For Yearly it is 29.99 × 48.6749 = ₺1,459.76, charged as ₺1,460. Because the rate is fixed rather than live, the price cannot shift between reading it and paying it.

All taxes are included, and nothing is shipped, so there is no delivery cost. A card issued in Türkiye can only be charged in lira, so choose lira if you pay with one. A card in another currency is converted by its own bank at its own rate, and any conversion fee is that bank’s, not GeoSpy’s.

Weekly or Yearly: which plan fits?

Weekly suits a short burst of use, such as a week of checking photos for a trip or a project. Yearly suits regular use over months: at 29.99 US dollars, it costs less than four weeks of Weekly, which add up to 31.96 US dollars.

Both plans unlock the same features, so the choice is only about how long you expect to use them. Photos tend to come up now and then over months: you might check an image before sharing it, research a trip, or practise the clues that identify a country. For that pattern, Yearly is the better fit.

If you only need a few days, Weekly is the smaller commitment. Cancel it once you are done, and the week you have paid for stays open until it ends. There is no monthly plan and no free trial on the website.

How does paying work?

By card (Visa, Mastercard or troy) through Garanti BBVA’s virtual POS. Your own bank confirms the first payment with 3D Secure. Card details go from your browser straight to the bank, so GeoSpy never receives or stores them.

  1. Step 1Sign in with GoogleThe subscription goes on the Google account you are signed in with, so the checkout asks for that first. Subscribe with the account you plan to keep.
  2. Step 2Check the orderThe checkout shows the plan, the exact amount and currency, how often it renews and the main terms before anything is charged.
  3. Step 3Approve the contract textsSeparate checkboxes confirm that you have read the Pre-Contractual Information Form, that you accept the Distance Sales Agreement, and that you agree to the service starting at once. The automatic renewal, with its amount and period, is spelled out above the order button.
  4. Step 4Enter your cardThe card fields sit on the checkout page, but what you type goes from your browser straight to Garanti BBVA. So that renewals can be taken, the bank keeps the card on its recurring-payment record; GeoSpy does not. From the bank, GeoSpy gets only the result, an authorisation code, a reference number and the last four digits of the card.
  5. Step 5Confirm with your bankYour bank’s 3D Secure page opens, usually asking for a code sent to your phone. It is the card industry’s standard way for the issuing bank to check an online payment.
  6. Step 6Start analysingOnce the bank approves, the subscription is active on your account straight away. An order confirmation with the contract texts follows by e-mail.

When you are ready, get Yearly or get Weekly. Each link opens the checkout with that plan already selected.

How do renewal and cancellation work?

Each plan renews automatically: the same amount is charged to the same card every week or every year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time on geospys.com/abonelik, signed in with the same Google account. Access then continues until the end of the period already paid for.

Renewals are taken by Garanti BBVA in the same currency as the first payment, with no action on your part, and a receipt follows each one by e-mail. To stop them, open your subscription page and press “Cancel subscription”. Nothing more is charged after that, and a confirmation arrives by e-mail.

Cancelling is not a refund. The period you have already paid for stays open until it ends. So there is no need to wait for the last day: cancel whenever you decide, and keep using the rest of the week or year.

What happens to GeoSpy Lifetime purchases?

They stay valid. Lifetime was a one-time package sold on geospys.com from 25 to 30 September 2026, and it is no longer on sale. Everyone who bought it in that window keeps access with no end date; it does not renew, and nothing more is charged for it.

Lifetime buyers do not need to subscribe or change anything. Signing in with the Google account used to buy keeps working as before. New buyers choose between Weekly and Yearly.

How do you use GeoSpy Premium after subscribing?

Sign in to geospys.com with the Google account you subscribed with, then upload a photo to the analyser. The subscription belongs to that account, so it works in any browser, on a laptop or a phone, wherever you are signed in with it.

There is nothing to install: the browser version runs on desktop and mobile. If you reach the fair-use limit, the site tells you roughly when to try again.

Who should subscribe, and who should not?

Subscribe if you analyse photos regularly in a browser or want more than one Street View game a day. Skip it if you have only one or two photos to check, only want the daily game, or need a street address: the analysis gives a city and country, never an address.

A good fit if you

  • Check photos regularly, on a desktop or in a phone browser.
  • Want the full analysis detail, not only a one-line answer.
  • Play the Street View game and want more than one game a day.
  • Have a short project in mind: Weekly covers it, and you can cancel straight after.

Not worth it if you

  • Have a photo or two to check. The iPhone app’s free trial covers that at no cost.
  • Only want to play. The Street View game is free once a day for everyone.
  • Need an exact address. No subscription turns a city-level estimate into a street and house number.

How does GeoSpy Premium relate to the iPhone app?

They are separate. The website subscription covers geospys.com only and does not unlock the iPhone app, and nothing bought in the app unlocks the website. The app has a free trial, which makes it the free way to try photo analysis before subscribing.

Purchases made in the app go through the App Store, and so do their refunds. The website subscription is covered by the website’s own policy.

Can you get a refund?

Only if you ask within 7 days of a payment and have not used the service at all since: no analysis, no game. Used even once, or after 7 days, a payment is not refunded. A double charge, or a renewal taken after you cancelled, is always refunded.

Under Turkish consumer law, distance purchases normally carry a 14-day right of withdrawal. Article 15(1) of the Distance Contracts Regulation lists exceptions. Subparagraph (ğ) covers services performed instantly in the electronic environment. Subparagraph (h) covers services that begin, with the consumer’s approval, before the withdrawal period ends. The subscription is active the moment the bank approves, and the checkout asks for that approval in its own checkbox.

Cancelling stops future renewals but does not refund the period already paid for. A payment can be refunded only within 7 days of it, and only if the service has not been used at all since: not a single photo analysis or game, even minutes after paying. Use is recorded with its date, time and IP address. A duplicate charge is refunded, and so is a payment for a subscription that could not be activated, or a renewal taken after you cancelled. The full rules are in the Cancellation and Refund Policy and the Terms of Use.

Frequently asked questions

Does GeoSpy Premium renew automatically?
Yes. Weekly renews every week and Yearly every year, charging the same amount to the same card, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time on geospys.com/abonelik.
Is there a monthly plan or a free trial on the website?
No. The website sells two plans, Weekly and Yearly, and has no free trial. The GeoSpy iPhone app has a free trial, so that is the place to try the analysis before paying.
Which currency will I be charged in?
In US dollars, or in Turkish lira if you are in Türkiye: ₺389 a week or ₺1,460 a year. You can switch currency on the payment page. A card issued in Türkiye can only be charged in lira, and a card in another currency is converted by its own bank.
What happens when I cancel?
Nothing more is charged, and photo analysis stays open until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling does not refund that period. If a renewal is taken after you cancelled, it is refunded in full.
Does it work on my phone and my laptop?
Yes. The subscription belongs to the Google account you subscribed with, so it works in any browser where you sign in to geospys.com with that account.
What happens if I reach the fair-use limit?
The site asks you to try again later and says roughly when. Up to 20 analyses fit in any five hours, so room frees up as earlier ones pass the five-hour mark.
Are the photos I analyse stored?
No. Uploaded photos are not stored. Each one is used to produce its location estimate and nothing else.
